If you don’t know (or don’t have Rock Band 2), there were 20 free download tracks released today. If you bought the game it came with a code on the back of the manual to put into a website that then gave you another code to download the tracks. I got my code yesterday and promptly downloaded the tracks.

When I saw the list back in October sometime I was extremely excited to see that Between the Buried and Me had finally been recognized as a notable music game band. Being a long time fan, this was one of the bands I hoped for back when I first played the first game and started dreaming of all the possibilities. Prequel to the Sequel is more than an amazing song to.

However, I played it yesterday only to be very, very disappointed. They cut the song off just over half way. Why?! I know the song is over 8 minutes long, which is maybe to long for some people, but it’s a masterpiece all the way up to the end. Not to mention it’s 1,000 times better than Freebird which was even longer. Why would they cut the song off? Anyone who enjoys playing it I recommend checking out the real one because there’s a really good part right after they stopped it.

Seriously, I just can’t figure out why they would stop the song short? I cross my fingers for more BTBAM and similar bands in the future to show up as Rock Band downloads, but please, give us the whole thing.
