Been messing around with flash all day today doing stuff and wanted to post up what I created. For the first time in my on and off flash usage I actually understand everything I did. I don’t know why, but flash has just been one of those things that never quite worked out for me. But today, I had that click in my mind and here’s what I came up with:

There’s a lot of things you can alter in this program, I recommend you play with it first and see what you can find yourself. But if that’s not your thing, then here’s a cheatsheet:

• Click to add a new ball
• Mouse over a “shaking” ball to make it “fall”
• Mouse over a “falling” ball to make it “shake” again
• Use the arrow keys to change the direction of gravity
• Press L to turn the lines that are being drawn off/on
• Press S to bring all balls to a halt
• Press C to remove the oldest ball
• Press 1 to connect the balls to each other with straight lines
• Press 2 to connect the balls to the corner of the screen
• Press 3 to connect the balls to each other with curved lines
• Press 4 to draw lines horizontally through each ball
• Press 5 to draw lines vertically through each ball
• Press 6 to draw a crosshair on each ball
• Press A and then Left Mouse Click to set the anchor point for the curved lines

I think that’s it. I had fun messing with that and will hopefully be posting up more things that I make while messing around in the near future. Enjoy and comment if you like it.

Also, just a tip off, I used the wlk_flem plugin created by a friend of mine, Walker Hamilton to embed the swf into TextPattern. Check it out if you need something to do that for your site cause it works awesome!
