Lost Cadillac

I haven’t seen many Lost brand energy drinks around lately, which is sad because I think they are so delicious. They are similar to Monster taste if you haven’t had one, but this one was different. The Cadillac. A great name, a great looking can and quite a different flavor really.

I drank the Cadillac while driving, so it was crucial that it gave me just the right amount of energy. I didn’t want to be shaking in my seat because I couldn’t go anywhere to burn it off, but it had to do something and keep me awake. It fell just in place here, maybe a little bit much energy for driving, but it was pretty close to the perfect dose. I’m not sure on the exact amount of caffeine it contained, but I assume it’s similar to the normal Lost which is 160 mg according to energy fiend.

However, the color was a bright neon green and the flavor was a little bit funky and of putting at first. However, I also recognized this flavor right away, yet it took a few minutes to put my finger on exactly what it was. Then it hit me, Monster Heavy Metal. The Heavy Metal is very distinct, it comes in the big 32 oz cans, the can is very green and the drink itself looks like it should glow (but it doesn’t unfortunately).

I thought this was interesting because the original Lost flavor was developed by Monster, which is surely why it’s so similar. Yet I’ve always preferred Lost to Monster. Now they have another flavor in common, yet the Cadillac can itself has a story about Mexico and that being where the flavor came from. Even if it is the same though, I’d buy the Lost over Monster because no one needs a 32 oz can. 16 is plenty thanks.

It definitely takes a little getting used to the flavor, but I promise you’ll savor it after a few sips. Don’t give up on the initial bit. It packed a pretty good punch, thankfully not enough to make me shaky. Just enough to make me feel awake and alert. I recommend it if you see it at your local gas station.
